admissions

I agree that it is important for an Admissions Advisor to have information about Financial Aid. As an advisor, you don't want to know too much financial information because it can pose as a conflict of interest.

That's the Key word that I use with my students "EXPERTS" in the field. Anytime a student asks FA questions I always say that's an excellent question an when you meet with the FA Experts they will get that answered for you. That way the student knows that their question is valid and there are EXPERTS available who will answer that question.

Additionally, by allowing the experts to address their particular field, it is more likely that all necessary information is presented to the student clearly.

Lastly, I feel it is important to allow the student to present her or himself in front of as many people as possible throughout the process. This way the student can develop a connection with several campus contacts which can aid in the transition to the new school.

Yes, since I came from FA to admissions I know that there is a fine line to stay compliant with rules & regulations.
