Product Knowledge is key to being able to assist the prospective students and students to the best of your ability.
There are many different ways to learn what your college has to offer.
Your catalog is likely the item to have the basic information of all programs (courses required, course definitions, curriculum, etc.).
Another great way to learn the most would be to set up time with each Department Chair to discuss what his/her program offers to students. By talking to the program director, he/she has first hand experience in the classroom setting and knows how to engage students so that their learning experience is top-notch, so being able to learn from them would be a great way to learn about your campus' programs.
Another way is to get into the classroom yourself and see how instructors engage students and encourage a healthy and happy learning environment. Also, if a negative situation occurs, you can see how your instructors/program leads handle issues within the classroom with maximum efficiency.
There are many other ways to learn about your college and what it has to offer, but you need to take the initiative and have the desire to learn these items, else they'll be around, but you'll have no idea they're there!
One of the best way to learn about what college has to offer is being staying curious and most importantly, by taking the extra step.
One great way is to navigate the website to learn all you can from there and also looking at all the youtube videos provides a good insight to the things that the students took from the experience that our school offered them.
