Good Representation of your school
What do you feel would be the best way of representing your school?
I feel that my apprearance and my knowledge should be the best that it can be. First impressions are very important and I want to be as helpful in answering questions as possible. If I don't know a specific answer, I am not going to simply make something up so that I seem like I know what I am talking about - I will let the person know that I am not sure and will get an answer and get back to them just as soon as I can.
The school I represent offers several specific programs. It doesn't try to be everything to everybody. Instead, it focuses on providing a high quality program in each of the programs that it offers. Students have appreciated when I've said, "Our school is not for everybody. We don't try to do everything--we simply do these programs really well. It's key that you pursue further education that is a good fit for you. This is where you will be most successful." So, I feel the best way to represent my school is to encourage students to investigate ALL their options, consider what career they are best suited for, and then find the program that will best prepare them, asking them to consider my school if a relevant program is offered.
