"Never Reinvent The Wheel"

By staying aware off all information as it becomes available is the best way to be the best admissions rep possible. The foundation is laid out for you by the neccessary accrediting agencies, approval Boards, etc. Therefore by just building from the already solid foundation, you should be a ok to effectively do your job; which is changing lives!

Hello Anthony,

I agree!! The best way to stay informed is to do your research. Never put yourself in a position where you are doing double the work!!!
Moreover, Always allow space for innovative thinking!!!

The information received and learned throughout these modules are the foundation of what will be applied during our daily task. As Agents/Admissions Reps go on throughout their career, more information will become available. It is very important for Reps to continuously update their Resource Guides for their own reference.

I agree, the accrediting agencies have been approving and providing guidelines long before we entered the field. Everyone has different techniques and we can all be effective following the guidelines. Changing students lives can be exciting and it is very important they are not mislead!

I definitely agree. Even with the presence of a good system, there is always room for innovation and improvement.

I agree to an extent; we should be a sponge and always absorb as much information as possible. When new information is there, we should learn it and place with other saved documents. However, we should always be open-minded, creative, and unafraid to offer new opinions. I do agree that you should not fix something if it's not broken, but at the same time trying new ways of doing things could also be more successful depending on what it is you are doing.

Absolutely, I feel as if the foundation is very sound.

True, but that should never limit creative thinking.

Don't change that what isn't broken. Good ideas or procedures would have to go before the Directors to be sure of compliance and processes.

I agree, but there is a great deal of information to go through and it should be up to your director to make sure that their reps have all they information they need.
