Staying Up-to-Date and Compliant
I think the best way to stay up-to-date and compliant is by visiting the appropriate websites on a regular basis, reading industry publications and follow any new laws or regulations. Is there anything else I could be missing?
I have noticed that it is a team effort to stay up-to-date and compliant. We have an open communication on our admissions team to keep everyone up on the latest information to best service our students, making sure everyone has the necessary resources.
It is our responsibility to make sure we are always current on any compliance rules and regulations. If we aren't aware of recent changes we are at risk of misadvisement to our students.
I completely agree. Staying up-to-date is vital in any role, in any industry.
I agree. It has been very useful and I feel I have learned a lot. I'm excited to put it into practice.
OACCS has several free on-line courses that may help you become more effective in your role as an admissions officer.
Those are certainly important ways to stay up to date. I would also think it is important to regularly speak with the various Directors in your local school and employers of your students/graduates to add to your information to maintain currancy.
Mark,
I would also add taking continuing education and professional development courses that help keep you up-to-date.
