Compliance
It seems that in todays age with all the schools that are offering programs, it is very important to know that you are compliant. It makes you have trust in the school you work for as well. Also compliance of all rules can give you job security.
I agree with you Darlyn. I have been with a college that had some compliance/regulatory issues and it can be very problematic. I still teach at this school and I had students ask me if their degrees would still be valid.
Knowing the rules and following the rules simplifies our job. There is no grey area to traverse, no questions about what to do in a certain situation. You always do what is right, what is truthful and what regulations say we must do. It creates a fair playing field for all potential students, admissions reps and schools. It just makes life easier and less stressful.
Yes it is very important to always be compliant. If you fail to do so you put yourself and the school in jeopardy.
