Creating a Resource Notebook
One of the most important things that we can do is maintain an up to date resource book. It should be carfully labeled and updated on a regular basis. More importantly, it is important to review this imformation as it cahnges to be sure that you are learning the new information as well. What other documents do you have in your Resource Notebook that you would suggest other admissions representatives add to their notebook?
I have included information on scholarship opportunities, extra curricular activities (to give potential students ideas on what the school groups are doing), employers who have recently hired our grads, testimonies from hired graduates, bios and pics of each department director and other employees to help the students familiarize themselves with the staff and faculty (it's often helpful to put a face with a name), a list of the social networking sites we have joined, a list of our websites, and basic information such as our hours of operation, etc. (students are often surprised at how early we open and how late we close). I've found these to be helpful to me and to incoming students.
Hi Lauren,
After taking the Agent Course I see as you do the importance of developing a accurate and up to date Agent Resourse Note Book. I spent hours on my Note Book for myself and future Agents. I can also see how impotant it is to keep up with any new rules as they are developed by the state.

I have added all of the admissions forms that we require our potential students to complete, as well as copies of all informational materials that we distribute to potential students.
Make sure your school's catalog is included, checklists for the admissions process and anything that will help you to better organize the information to help your prospective students
