Do you know your school policy regarding transferability of credits?

My school has specific policy regarding the transferability of credits earned at the school. The agent is required to inform the student how the process of transferring credits to another schools works prior to applying the school. As a new agent I appreciate this because my students will have this information prior to making commitment to the school to make their decision.

I talked about this with the Registrar yesterday and she explained to me the process of accepting credits from other institutions and all the guidlines required to accept credits. We do not accept all credits adn it is dependent on a lot of factors. Also we do not tell students that credits from our school will likely not transfer to another school.

My training expressed the same policy, transfer credits can only be determined by the receiving institution.

I have worked for several schools and all have a policy regarding transfer of credits. It is determined by the Director of Education what credits will transfer and vice versa.

Yes it is helpful to know the policy regarding transfer of credits. It would be nice to know when a student tries to tranfer out how the accepting insititution evaluates them.

Just finished training, and we discussed our policy regarding talking about credit tranfers. Expressing the fact that the transfering of credits also depends on the recieving school. That it is not always a guarentee that credits will be able to transfer.
