Accreditation
Remember, accreditation is a separate process from state licensure or federal institutional authorization. To participate in financial aid you have to have accreditation
Accreditation allows many students to determine if they want to attend that college or not. If a school looses there accreditation they will also be in jeperdoy of losing there Title IV funding as well and many student need Financial Aid to assist with the cost of tuitioin and other expenses.
Accreditation is critical to so many students. One of the most important reasons is funding. Rarely does an incoming student have the financial ability to fund their education as they take classes. Therefore, with accreditation, there would be no opportunity for tuition assistance through Title IV.
