It is crucial that school representatives give accurate information. If they don't know the answer to a question they should let the PS know that they do not know and let them know they will either get back with them or refer them to someone who can accurately answer their question(s).

When I first started in Admissions I would become very embarrassed not knowing the answer and having to say "Let me check and get back to you." However, I have found that having to check before answering serves a few beneficial purposes. 1. It gives you a solid reason to follow up with the student. And 2. It shows that you care enough to seek out accurate information, which I find helps the student and their family view you in a less "salesmen-like" light.

I would have to agree that it is absolutely crucial that students are given accurate information. I believe school representatives should bring potential students to the department chair of the program they are considering, to speak about the student experience, as well as what happens after school etc...
