It is important to provide the most accurate information available to any student looking into career training. When you can provide students with the answer to their questions you will begin to build the kind of rapport that will bring that student back and recommend other potential students to you.
I feel giving a great inteview, being straight forward and honest is the best
Understanding a person's unique needs and concerns is the key to improving recruitment. Once we understand what is really motivating a student to make a change, then we have the best chance of matching their needs with our progams.
As a Director and a trainer for many years I loved reading what you said heather.. Good for you and the school you work for.It is all about helping people make good decisions, on something they have been thinking about for months, years or even half there adult life.

We always ask if the Student would like to bring a friend to the interview. It helps with emotional support.
How can we improve recruting I feel that the reps should have more training and go by the guidlines that they were trained on and be ethical.
I totaly agree reps need to know all up date information on all programs so that they can direct the student with right information.
Yes that is the only way we can stay in compliance if we are being ethical and our reps know what they are talking about.
Yes we need more training so that everyone is on the same page with update information.
Yes the reps should make sure that they are following all guidlines and if a student aks a question that they arent sure about they tell the students that they will get back with them with once they get that information.
Being professional and informitive with prospective students. Providing them with all information required to help them make the best decision. Answer all their questions unless not sure then follow up with them. Being honest and truthful with prospective students and disclose all information possible to help them.
I think having training on program knowledge is important. It is easier to talk with students openly when you know the ins and outs of the program. To go along with this, I think letting the reps audit classes would be beneficial as well to help improve our school knowledge.
I feel that recruiting can be improved by making sure that recruiters know all the rules and that they have required knowledge check ups at least two or three times a year to make sure that they remain sharp on the DOs and DONTs of recruiting.
I agree with what your saying. There should be more communication with other campuses to see what they are doing right and wrong. This will help with compliance across the board.
Depending on what areas of recruitment you have deficiency in, you can look at other locations that do it well and glean from their best practices, while staying in the confines of compliance and ethics. It should not be such a fine line, too.
In addition to following all of the rules, I feel it is important to give each prospective student your full attention and check in often to be sure they have a full understanding of the program/s presented.
Keeping compliance at the top is key to increasing recruiting, an organization can pay millions of dollars in advertising but if their students or graduates have been misguided or had information withheld at the admissions process that will ruin an organization’s reputation.
I feel the best way to improve recruting is thru personally developed inquiries, PDI's. To have a student who is attending, or has graduated refer someone here is the best, because you know they have spoken to a student that has shared a positive experience with them.
Compliance is most important. Being straight up - integrity is important as an individual and over all school. Following the "Do's & Don't's,trainings, etc.
