I agree because is important to be ethical while enrolling a student because can have an idea of what to expect ones he or she enroll in the school

That's so true Sonia! What specifically do you do to keep your admissions process ethical?

Dr. Jean Norris

Ethical process is the key to a great admission process. This gives one opportunity to make their own decision without any out side opinion. Using the ethical process promotes honesty, facts, allows a prospective student to know exactly what they are getting into.

Marcus, that's a great point. Tell me, what processes do you find meet these objectives?

Dr. Jean Norris

Ethical Process is important to build trust but also for doing the right thing for the student and your college.

Excellent insight, Marie. Understanding an institution's mission, vision, and values is important in helping the team see what behaviors are expected and acceptable in demonstrating the ethics and integrity of the organization.

Min Woo,
Very true, Min Woo. Having a genuine curiousity and interest in another person's history and where they're coming from can do a great deal to build a trusting relationship.

Then If we help them, We can build trustable relation each other.

I agree, this also can be related to institutions that promote a culture built on a solid ethical foundation. They are better able to manage risks/challenges and create an environment of integrity, trust, and purpose for all employees, with emphasis on admissions professionals.

I agree that you must conduct an ethical process to enroll a prospective student is vital key to build trustable relation.

Excellent awareness to have Keith. Keep up the good work you do for students at your institution and beyond!

Absolutely; to do any less would not only be a disservice to the potential student, but one to the school itself. If the student isn't the right fit, then the possibility of a drop is increased, which reflects badly on the school...

Great observations, Keith. Ethics is absolutely essential when helping a student to make their own best decision. Ultimately, we strive to ensure that we can explore all options with our students to give them the most objective view of their choices and find the right fit for them.

Ethics not only build trust in my opinion, but good ethics and best practices, properly implemented, also can ensure that student is in the right place (school) for their learning, training and career needs.

You're right, Karla, conducting an ethical enrollment process is critical in building a trusting relationship with your student. What are some "must have's" in your ethical enrollment process?
