Face to face communications

In my opinion, face to face communications and creating friendly environment with the student
Was always helpful to me and I think student feel more confidant and trust. In that way when I am close to them I can read their mind and expression.

In my position as a registrar I always want to see the student at least twice a year to follow up on their graduation. It helps me that face to face contact if the student is having issues to continue their education. I give them guidance and a time frame to finish their education with their approval to complete their goals.

kind and friendly voice can be be helpful.By voice tone they might express themselves better and feel free to share the informations

Fariba,

Thanks for posting! It's true that face to face communication allows you to observe body language cues and facial expressions, which you can't do in telephone and written communication. What do you think are some ways you can determine how a student on the telephone is feeling?
