Listening

What has worked for me in the past when working on multitask is to close my office door.

That is great, Evie. What are your techniques for true listening?
Dr. Jean Norris

I think that listening is a skill that not alot of people have, I really try to listen to my prospects

Listening is the key to success. Listening to the responses of the student will guide you through the information gathering interview process. Listening allows me to probe deeper, or move forward. Summarizing what you heard will verify where we are on tracking the student's understanding of what they need.

Tiffany, sure. Listening is key. Your students want to be listened to and understood. You can ask questions in order to get to know them, but the most important piece is to listen to their response and build off that.
