Student success stories
If a school has not opened and limited connections with employers, is the best protocol sending newsletters of when we open and the program's uniqueness? I would focus on the themes and press kits as of currently
Nikeline,
Lots of ways to find out what events are happening in your area and then see which are appropriate to attend. Might be trial and error at first. You might want to check the calendar sections of local media. Also chambers of commerce sometimes list community events. Also check with your staff. They probably belong to an organization or two with special programs. thanks, Susan

I would have to agree with you. The important thing is to be successfully licensed first. What we do is go to the libray or town hall and find out what events are happening and then attend those.
Jamie,
Having a community outreach program is essential. It can be quite a lengthy plan involving all the ways you will meet and then sustain relationships with employers and others in the community. It might mean giving presentations on the uniqueness of your programs and what you do to train people in new careers. Of course you have to wait until you are fully licensed. Thanks, Susan
