Getting the information out to the community
We use similar information that was presented in this module. Like: Honors to companies that support our school and our students, set booth at local business expos that have activities directly related to our profession. We participate in career awareness day sponsored by Public school in our area. Meet with principals and some faculty of our local schools and advertise in their year book. We have an Advisoory board that is made up of community leaders. We promote the use of the ID and our uniforms have the school logo and theme and we also give away items like pens, pencils, coffee mug, etc. The school director and her staff are responsible for carrying out information to the community. One things that we are planning is to have a section on our website to inform and update students and the community in general of what is going on in our school.
Millie,
Wow. This is great. You are showing how easy it is to get the school name out in the community. Sounds like where ever you turn in your town someone from your school is there. It does take work but the results are great and the costs relatively little. And you can target exactly the prospective students you are seeking. Reminder to join organizations and volunteer to give talks on careers, training, and more. Thanks, Susan
