School Phone Numbers
What is your experienece with designing 800 jingle numbers for your school?
Unfortunatley, we ar enot able to do that at our school (on a local basis) . Everything is handled out of our corporate office. It would be nice if we could control it
Michael-
You're really addressing two topics here: vanity numbers and jingles. Both are very valid questions for our industry!
Some of our clients currently utilize vanity numbers (with or without jingles), however with years of analysis and scrutiny from our team under our belt, we haven't been able to prove or disprove their worth. In my personal opinion, they do add to your branding effort, and will generally provoke a more timely recall from your viewers. That being said, what I would focus on within your advertising efforts is the message- delivering a strong call to action and driving this home.
In our experience, jingles can also be a good metric for your branding efforts...if done correctly. The key is to build an image and create customer recall. However, if you don't have the budget to fund frequency in your television or radio spend, you won't experience instant gratification from airing it a few times a week.
With both of these topics in mind, they're something you want to consider in your creative strategy. We would always recommend focusing on the message of the spot first, then working on adding the bells and whistles to ramp up your efforts.
