Universal Design
Very interesting. I knew of Pictograms but had no idea the history of Universal Design. This was very interesting. Now I understand why all television set have access to captioning built in.
Universal design helps level the playing field in so many ways. From a ramp to the dorm,s to designing different programs and helping out with building flaws.

Universal Design can be applied in so many settings. Typically, when I think of universal design, I think of it in terms of how I can assist faculty in modifying their teaching methods or styles so that they can "reach" the most amount of students sitting in class.
