So far I'm learning about the six regional accreditations. I've also gone over the long list of accreditation agencies and I see how each one is very specific to their industries.
I have learned an overview of the accreditation process aw well as differences in the various types of acrrediting agencies.

Hi! My name is Noelia and I work at the Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency (AQU Catalunya).
Although I do not come from an institution willing to be accredited, neither I work in the US, I thought this course by the INQAAHE would be extremely useful to help me get an idea of how the accreditation process in the US works, and the differences / similarities with our system. And this exactly what I have learnt from this first module. It has specially drawn my attention the fact that every institution is able to choose the Accrediting agency that wants to be accredited by, according to the compatibility in the mission and purpose of both. In Spain, it is mandatory to be accredited by the Agency of your state (there are regional accrediting agencies, like the one I work for).
