Jack,

Based on your response it seems that your team has the necessary reports to take care of the students. As long as your team looks for ways to enhance the reporting to meet the objectives of your campus all should flow smoothly.

Sincerely,

Chyrl Ayers

Danica,

Reporting can be a good tool as long as it is used to effectively manage the needs of the students. At the campus level you want to ensure that your students are being awarded, disbursed and reported timely so long as you have the ability to track these functions you should be good.

Sincerely,

Chyrl Ayers

Reporting is extremely important in the Financial Aid office. We use it to track which loans and grants are scheduled to come in and what has disbursed. It tells us which students are packaged and who is still pending, and also if funds are scheduled to cover the tuition. We run reports everyday and it helps to make life easier for us and the students as well.

Reporting is extremely important. Our corporate people and third-party processing company does alot of our reports. What we do here at the campus level is just make sure all students are eligible for their disbursements and receive what is due and when on a timely manner.

Maria,

Great point. Our focus should always be on the student's experience from enrollment through graduation. Reporting should be used to ensure timely delivery of funds, reporting of funds and reconciliation of the programs.

Sincerely,

Chyrl Ayers

Sergio,

This is a great practice to have in place. Your reconciliation process will insure that postings to student's account history is accurate and close the loop by balancing to the amount reported in COD. I would recommend that you perform a reconciliation of the cash received by fund type to the G5 draws since this would close the loop from COD to cash draws.

Sincerely,

Chyrl Ayers

Maria,

Reporting can be a great tool for communicating with other departments within the school. It is good to evaluate the tools and ensure the reports are delivering the best results for students and staff.

Sincerely,

Chyrl Ayers

I think that it is important to maintain all records up to date, so that the funds are managed correctly. This will ensure that the funds are given to the students in a timely manner ensuring success in acheiving their academic goals.

Maintaining correct information is a top priority because, we have to make sure that our records reconcile with those from COD. Not only do we reconcile Direct Loans on a monthly basis but also, we do the same with Pell. This comparison is done with different student reports we use.

Reports are very important in my area. Is the way to maintain the communicate between the departments. Every semester we have a academic report that help to keep updated the information about the students.

Magdali,

Agree. Organization and ensuring accuracy are important characteristics that make for a success in the management of a FA Office.

Best wishes in your pursuit of a financial aid position.

Sincerely,

Chyrl Ayers

In this moment Im not working FA reporting, but I think it is beneficial to keep things organized and accurate.

DENISE,

Reporting is an important part of the management of FA for internal staff and students. It is critical to ensure you have systems in place to assist and not hamper the process for you and your staff. The recordkeeping responsibility is an important part of the process for students and the campus. The records will be used for audits and reviews in the future.

Sincerely,

Chyrl Ayers

Proper reporting in our system for every single students' records is extremely important to me, as I rely on it to complete repacks, exit counseling, wirthdrwal, fisap, etc.

Gilda,

Reporting is necessary and beneficial. It is a great method to ensure that all aspects of the student process is accurate and timely. Successful FA and Business Offices always have great reporting and tracking mechanism.

Sincerely

Chyrl Ayers

Reporting is a vital process that should be enouraged by all in the chain. Students benifit from its timely manner. I benifit from the accuracy it provides. The Financial Aid Director benifits from the effeciency the process takes. Its a win-win for everyone.

Marni, Based on your feedback it appears the reporting process you have put in place is meeting your needs of providing your students with timely and accurate information regarding their financial aid. sometimes reporting requirements can place a burden on financial aid staff with all of the other duties you have. However, if used correctly it can enhance your process and not hinder it. Best of luck in your financial aid online education.

Our reporting is put into place to make sure that we are accurately keeping track of our student's financial aid. By having checks in place we are able to provide our students with the information they need so that they can plan their education accordingly and make sound decisions regarding it's financing.

Jenifer, Recognizing and acknowledging the importance of reports is necessary when working towards the goal of ensuring your student's FA needs are met. It is good to know you utilize reports that benefit your procedures.

David McGuffee

FA reporting is very beneficial to not only FA but all departments. Our reports is how we keep records of all student funds. As well as being able to assist our students if they have any questions regarding to their FA. Everyone needs reports to be able to maintain accurate records. I know i have report for everything & i live by those reports. Without reports i would be lost & that is one thing that i need to be able to be a successful FA Rep.
