Great point. It is true that for some reason students do "hide" from career services staff. Perhaps they are hiding from themselves and their own fears. You are right that it takes time to build relationships with students and help them understand their own strengths and weaknesses and how to deal with them. These are all reasons to start the career services process just when the student enters school. Thanks, susan

I agree. I find it most effective when Career Services builds a relationship with our students. Some students either hide or forget information. When we take our time to build the relationship it allows us for a better understanding of each students strengths and weaknesses and ends with a better resume.

We agree that these are some of many many ingredients for a great candidate to get a job. What is very important is self confidence. It takes time for each student to build a level of self confidence to get through the interview process.
