Economic impact

in todays economy retention is harder then ever becauce of the economic forces at work on the students.

Nice metaphor, Sylvia, however, I suspect some students would rather have dynamite rather than a dynamic team. Adding problem solving tools might help them reach their objectives.

Education empowerment is mandatory to future financial success. Just tell your students who were at the edge of dropping out that there will be light at the end of the tunnel or there will be a scenic plateau with cheering crowds behind this huge mountain in front of your eye. Their success is our success and they have a dynamic team of professional people helping them to strive to cross their finishing line destination.

Correct. In todays market family's are loosing jobs therefore anyone that can work needs to do so to help support the family. Although some students can work part-time while going to school it generally does not generate enough income.

if students are well trained and take advantage of what we offer, and not just the bare minimum to get by, they will have no trouble finding work in any economy. as a well trained tech i point out that i went out and got a second job in the field we teach during this economy, any of them should be able to get one if they look and are flexible.

Has your school set up a financing package for students? Many institutions are reluctant to get into this. It puts them in the finance business as well as education but troubling times may require creative solutions outside our comfort zone.

In today's economy it is getting harder on students. Not being able to find work.

Many students that have left, is due to finanical issues

i agree with today's economy it will be difficult to retain some students based on the parents abilities to get funding. as a school we need to find alternative funding sources to compete and retain students
