Being a parent figure can be a high risk/reward proposition. How do you feel about that role?

I think that working with student get them to trust you and they more or less will relax and possible will com up to you for help with any problem they may have and others you will just leave mostly I notice girl friend boy friend issues and some I talk to are home sick., so we need not only to be good instructors but also a parent figure.

Don, it would seem to be a simple thing to share information. What has to be done to make that happen?

So often this happens when a student just disappears. I know we (the school) does follow up on why the student left, but it would benefit the instructors if we to knew the reason for leaving. Other students sometimes tell us why they left, but you really don't know if that is the real reason.
