Intervention Cycle
I'm a little confused on this section. In paragraph 5 and 6 I'm seeing contradictions. I have always told me students the process is thoughts/words/self-talk, form pictures in their minds, which then cause certain feelings, which in term results in specific actions/behaviors. Is there a different order being presented in this section?
Thanks, Tara
I don't think anyone would agrue with your statement, Wanda. How does this apply to your interaction with students? Do you have any specific advice for other forum participants?
I agree it's better think first before acting in a way that could be bad for you.
Wanda
In paragraph 5, they explain that is how a person typically deals with the stressful situation. You can and should explain to them a better way to deal with the situation. It is better to think first.
