keep trying

..retention its for all of us..

Eccouragement from an Instructor can have a big impact on a students success

Never squash a dream always have them looking forward and at the same time have a back up plan. As we all no life can throw us an unsuspected curve ballfrom time to time.

I totally agree, even that all the students are here to learn, there will be mistakes made by them,we sure let them know when that happens. How about we make them feel good when they do well, just don't let it go unreconized.

In answer to Lorens question. My classes run 3 weeks also. It does prove sometimes to be a challenge when it comes to reading them. The first couple of days in the course prove to be critical when it come to the relationship. Normally by the time you get to know the personalities you’re down to the last week of the course. If someone has a problem and you can’t see it, you hope they understand they can come to you.

I agree you have to always keep encouraging the student to keep it up and good job.

True, but the student needs to put forth some effort also!

How does this short time frame influence your classroom techniques? Does it dramatically change your relationship with students?

I my classes they three weeks long so the way I see it I three weeks to make a diffrents.

You have to keep trying cause you never know when you will make a difference with a kind word or a smile.

As the instructor you have to keep encouraging the students to keep trying and never give up! Always stay positive!!
