class picture

I have not thought of a class picture before We take individual pictures at graduation The more I think about it the more I think this would be a great idea bring unity and a sense of belonging

I really think this will give them a sense of belonging and also let them look at it from time to time to really know that they are all here for pretty much the same reason and goals

A Class Picture was taken when I entered Nursing school, then again when we graduated. It was nice to see how we all looked more mature and knowlegable. It was sad though to see how many students dropped out.

Class pictures are a great idea. I always take one of the whole class at the end of the rotation, they always seem to like that. A more professional looking class picture would be great.

Class pictures and or graduation pictures is a great idea. I will definiately do that!

Brian--

Do you display the pictures somewhere and/or give the students a copy?

Susan

We have classes starting every five weeks which is similar to yours and we do take class pictures. Regardless of when the student started the picture is taken with the class they graduate with. We don’t have any problem with this and the students like it.

I hadn't thought of a class pic before either, but I think students would respond wonderfully to it. I will implement it as soon as possible.

Alvin--

That is wonderful that you keep them posted. Obviously, it is a great reminder to the students about how far they have come... reinforces the 'value added' you are providing in transforming them.

I feel class pictures are a great thing and the students enjoy them. I post the pictures on our board and the student enjoy looking back and talking about the first day in class and how far they have come, to see the other students before and behind them

Hey, Gene I just read about taking class pictures. I am going to do that next course cycle, when I can get the camera and printer together.

I have not thought of a group picture before. We take individual pictures at graduation. The more I think about it the more I think this would be a great idea bring unity and a sense of belonging.

Class pictures sound really good for the beginning students.

If you do an orientation for new students, that may be the best time for the picture. Another institution actually takes individual pictures of the new students...one for their student ID and then one in a cap and gown...at orientation. A slight variation.

Neither had I ever thought of a class picture. I like the idea but not sure how I can incorporate it. We have a modular curriculum, we start new students every 4 weeks. Our brand new students are invariably mixed in with students that started 4 to 8 weeks prior to them.

Has anyone implemented this in this type of environment?
