First Day in Class

Welcome the new student by introduce yourself as the intructor ,introduce the student with the class by her name and talk to the new student everything she will learn in the class before she will go to the next level and make her feel
comfortable.

That is true. I did not realize as I was reading how true this information was and I how I felt at the schools I attended. The first week will determine how the student feels about the school!

I concur, establishing a connection with students at the onset of a course should be a staple in each instructors method of instructing. It is important to learn students names and address them accordingly.

The introductory exercise is a good one and does, in fact, help to break down some barriers among the students. Great job!

I agree that when veteran students get involved, that makes new students more confident in the instructor.

Introduce yourself to your new class so that they are comfortable knowing that a qualified and knowledgeable teacher will take care of their education throughout their course. Also, a small game or introduction for the students is helpful as well to have them all get to know each other and speak out in the class to get comfortable with the students they will be learning with.

I also have new enrollments on a weekly basis. The one on one realy works for me. It just makes it more personal. Students are more likely to ask questions if something is not clear.

I into myself and some back ground and then have each student into themselves and where they are from and what classes they are taking and where they are going after school

We have new enrollments all the time and I always introduce myself and do a one on one. Lately, i've been having older students guide them through some parts of the day and its worked out really good!

This always works to benefit not only the student but the instructor as well. Students that are comfortable are easier to work with throughout the term.
