Students retention

The student needs more time from the Educator, and make the class more fun, also they need more support from the teacher, and the staff "Counseling" all the time, if we make that happens and all the Campus "We gone to make the difference"
Thank you.

I work at a large institution and our classes are also three weeks long. I find that the first day is a time to get things "settled" if you will, on what is expected in the coming three weeks. This important as it can have a negative affect on thier grade.

That is true. And regardless of how long we 'have' them, sometimes they drop out so quicklfy we never really have a chance to understand their obstacles. It comes down to one student at a time and building relationships as we can.

Sometimes that can be difficult though. If you are a large institution, or like here where we start a new class every three weeks. The students can be here and gone before we really have a chance to get to know each one individually.

The best way to help with retention is to get to know the students individually in order to be able to facilitate their needs.
