I believe it is important for the prospective student to truly understand what the profession they are entering is all about. Not what they think it is about, or what their friends think it is, but what it actually is.

Finding commonalities is great for enrollment, but the instructor needs to have those same traits to effectively take the student through the journey. Retention goals only work if the staff follows up, and understands their place is the commonality equation.

I believe most institutions do this as much as possible. Sometimes, people have selective hearing and only take away what they want to know.
