absolutely, the one second you slip up on these students they will fall into a pit. ive learned that making the program challenging is more effective than handing it to them in a gift basket.

I agree. The more active the student is with the school as well as their learning, they will push hard to succeed.

Keeping the student engaged is the challenge. Students may not "like" every course or every instructor nor may they experience the same success throughout the program. Thus motivation and engagement can fluctuate during the student's time at the institution.
