Yes we need to have the energy and motivation to support our students. In return we need to be supported by our team of teachers and departments to continue doing so. Each department can give the same support to each teacher. That teacher feels supported and in return easily gives the support back to the students. It works both ways. Teachers have to find ways to refuel so they have the gas to give. This class helped me get a little more gas in me. Thanks.

I also agree that we need to be very supportive of our students. I did not have very many role models as a student and that is what I try to be for my students; supportive and available.

Janet your comments are so true, your clarity and support for your students is inspiring. I would like to piggy back on that by saying we take on a parental role in some cases. We are in some cases the only authority figure these students have ever had. It is a great power that demands great responsibility and support.

I could not agree more Richard. We have students with NUMEROUS needs & expectations. I think we all do a good job to be readily available for the triumphs & calamities.
