Culture and the workplace
To be a contributory member of any organization, one has to understand the culture within the organization. For example when one is hired at an organization, he/she must closely watch the culture in order to find how one fits in. Failure to do so can result in a disconnect that can cause unproductivity and discomfort in the workplace.

Yes, I agree, if one does not know the culture they come across as trying to change things, for no apparent reason. They don't usually last long.
Yes, there as staff or faculty member of a school one must surely view and try to adobt to the common culture.
I agree very strongly, all of us have had that disconnect at one time or another through out our work life.
