"We’ve got one chance to make a good first impression". Organization leads to better prepared classes, students notice this,as instructors we are more thorough and creative because our thoughts are organized. When we're prepared it just adds to a more interesting class. The hurried, frazzled, hectic-pace teacher conveys less than a wonderful picture of competence and confidence. Students are paying attention to the instructors every move, so organization comveys competence.
I make it a rule to always be 3-5 days ahead of schedule, organized and prepared for the future start of a class.
