You are so right. People want training because they want a job. That's why we think that the Placement Department should sit within the Admissions Department. Most applicants don't really care a lot about the course work. They just have to get through it. What they want to know is how are they going to gain the skills and confidence to search for the job and what is it going to be like in the workforce. That's why we believe that Placement and Career Services should be as prominent in the lives of students as the faculty. That's also why we believe in involving employers from the community plus your alumni. These folks can visit the school or offer job shadowing and more so students can see, experience, and feel what it is like to work before the first day on the job. Thanks, Susan
