Course
This was a good course. Pretty much everything was new to me. I do not work with students and where I work we do not see students on a daily basis. I still enjoyed learning and I think this class is a big help. I am behind the scenes so even though I do not see the students I know I am helping with their education.
As an adjunct, I often feel disconnected from the other functions of a college. Students will occasionally ask me a question about signing up for classes, advising or another aspect of student life. I am always taken aback when this happens, and then I realize how I really don't know how things work at all. Learning about recruitment and financial aspects of my college has opened my eyes to the functions of other aspects of education.
