As a new instructor, ED101 was a great course that reinforced some best practices that I learned in my indoc period at my institution. Yes, much of the info was review, but a strong review of the foundational knowledge of instruction is a good thing for new instructors.
ED 101 provided practical, concrete assistance to the new instructor. In my third professional decade, and in this unusual economy, I find myself in the education arena .. professionally an expert, yet unarmed with teaching experience. I am better equipped to make that quantum leap in the learning curve, from novice to confident and effective instuctor.
I agree, there's a lot of solid information I often took for granted when I was a wee student--having them so consicely presented makes a world of difference when planning my own courses.
