ED104 - New Perspectives on an "old" Topic
I have to say taking ED104 as my first course in the MaxKnowledge world has been an interesting and rewarding experience. As an instructor for several years in the career college arena, I have been quite successful in classroom management techniques. I began the course with the exepectation that I would be simply looking at a "refresher" of the concepts that I now get accolades for being successful at. What I actually experienced was an interactive learning experience that provided some perspectives I haven't really encountered before (from both the content and user forums).
I have been able to apply several of these newly discovered "tools" in my daily instruction and must admit I have benefited from the experience. I look forward to additonal modules to learn more !!
very informative and reinforced thoughts i have.
I found this module very informative. It included several practices that I can incorporate into the classroom. For example, I will begin to use BOTH intrinsic AND extrinsic motivators.
I guess we never need to be reminded that despite being the facilitators of college courses that help students find their potential in taking ownership in their own education - we are but students ourselves who learn and benefit from the diversity of knowledge and experiences our student's bring to the classroom !!
Samuel,I have to agree with you, having to teach adult learners and now for over 13 years, I STILL LEARNED A LOT FROM ed104 course, really it has given me a new way of thinking,I am really amazed that in a very short time this course has really taught me to reflect on myself as an instructor, when I will begin my next class I know that I will be well prepared for my class, the first few days are challanging and any new idea for an old topic is welcome.I am going to make a log book for each day and see how it has actually helped to achieve what I may have been lacking.we are not perfect and can never say I am a "know it all",students teach us to be better teachers each and every day.
