Criticism can be very difficult to hear. It is important to respond in a way that can help you grow as a person in the workplace. It is crucial for both the person receiving the feedback and the person delivering the feedback are being heard. Although it can be difficult to hear, some criticism can be very helpful.
I have to constantly share feedback with my students and this is always an area that I struggle in. This tutorial helped me understand some ways to give feedback appropriately. I loved when it discussed ways that you can show that your information is serious, but you can show concern for the employee/student through your body language.
I think communication can be the single most important thing in the workplace and classroom. This tutorial had great information on different types of communication that I haven't considered before. I will think of this tutorial often to ensure I am using the most effective form of communication.

Conflict in the workplace is a natural occurance of interacting with one another and cost of resolving conflict is relative to the cost of leaving clnflicts unresolved. Although it is best to determine whether it is a long or short term working relationship when deciding whether or not to addresses. In all instances in conflict resolution it is always best to work on your listening skills to be objective, empathic and open to trying to understand the other person's feelings and underlying issues that may change the dynamics of each situation.
Success of the presentation is largely determined by the degree of interaction between the Presenter and the Audience.

I think class policies are essential to setting up the foundation for the learning environment. It gives the students direction as to what is acceptable and not acceptable in the classroom.

I conduct mock interview with students and alumni interviews for a university and in both instances I can get a very good feel for a person's character based on their body language.
