We all know what "the bottom line" means in business, but there is an additional and crucial bottom line in our career college institutions. Our faculty is the number one link, the bottom line, to the daily success of our students. And successful students lead to successful outcomes which, in turn, lead to positive institutional effectiveness - an area of major focus in today's career college environment. One of our roles as administrators is to maximize the link between our colleges' institutional effectiveness and the power of what our instructors create in their individual learning environments. This ultimately affects the ingredients that result in a vibrant and lasting institution - relevant skills taught, retention, graduation, placement and satisfied employers!
As faculty coaches, in what ways do you remind your faculty of the link between what they do and the colleges' institutional effectiveness?
