After taking this course, I realize how many practices/procedures are in place at my school that are all about retention.  I feel we do an especially good job at identifying "red flag" students early, and at creating a positive, caring environment for all our students.

I found that retention is a constantly moving target. It seems that once you think you got it all figured out, something new emerges. It just goes to show that schools need to be vigilant and never settle just for what's working...for students' sake!

I never thought about retention as part of my job, I am glad I do some retention functions on my own and look forward to implementing more that I learned here.

I agree.  Retention is a total staff/school effort.
