Professionalism in the Classroom/Workplace
I would have liked more instruction on how to be professional in the classroom, in the workplace, and in society period. Being computer literate is important, but more important is how to effectively be professional writing an email or a text message these days. There are some bits and pieces I can take away from this course, but not a whole lot.
Being professional starts with being s Subject Matter Expert. Once that concept is grasped, then one must become a Knowledge Transfer Expert, meaning, you constantly find ways to improve your delivery of the information. Self assessment is critical. Having a peer group offer critiques/advice, etc...those are some effective ways to refine ones' approach. Where you see flaws or areas that you feel you do not measure up, those are areas to address in specifics. For a good self test, write an email to yourself in third person. Wait seven days, then read it. Do you like what you read and how it was presented? Sometimes, the doctor must heal thyself.
