I agree. Everyone needs to realize that retention begins as soon as a student decides to enroll in school. For a student to have the best chance for success this means that we all have to do our part and that we all need to be communicating with each other, encouraging each other, and encouraging our students. Consistency with the message that we all send is so important. When students get consistent encouragement and continually see that they are supported by their school no matter what stage of the education process they are in that is when their confidence will rise and they will be able to acheive even more than they might have thought possible.
