I try to find a quality of myself in my students.  It is so important to remember how difficult it was for you before you set out to become accomplished in your chosen field.  How many times were you frustrated and felt like giving up?  Remember you could be that one person to change your student's life in a positive way.  You need to be empathetic, understanding, and knowledgeable about not only their triumphs, but their failures too.  Isn't that how we all learn?!? By making mistakes, we learn valuable life lessons that we can hopefully overcome our challenges and mentor others to become the best that they can be!!!
