That student feedback and supervision feedback is very important 

interships will be most successful when they are planned, supervised and coordinated

The supervisor should be coaching the intern to bring them to their full potential. 

The intern should have an internship directly related to future work goals. 

Interships are such a great opportunity for students to gain hands on experience while still having the support of the school. 

Evaluation and Feedback should be implemented during the internship.  This will allow students' to meet objectives, ask questions and get an snapshot of how they are doing.

Student supervision is key in order to make sure all the arrangements have been made, purposes and operation of the entity that they working with and to make frequent visits to ensure all is going well.  To make sure the internship program is successful, the facility coordinator and on-campus supervisor must work together.

Documentation is important to make sure that the students are meeting the requirements from their intern experience.  It is also vitsl to monitor student's participation and number of hours they are receiving to meet their requisites.

Interships are very good programs.  I remember my first job resulted from an intership; I learn so much and landed a job offer because I had on the job training.  I will encourage my students to take advantage of these types of opportunities to help develop their professional skills. 

Internship is an awesome way students can try out and learn more about health care organizations.  Also, it is an excellent way to land a job opportunity.

I will be mindful in future to conduct exit interviews following a student's preceptorship experience.
