In this module I learned the importance of discussion boards and an instructor's responsibility by providing timely feedback in online teaching.  The discussion board serves as a platform to build community and have the students participate in the content of the course and meet the course objectives.  It is important to have a Rubrics to grade this assignment and to have consistency and transparency.

I have learned in this module the importance of communication considering the different generations and their method of communicating.  There are many more challenges in communicating online in comparison to F2F teaching, you must reach out to the student if they are struggling or not communicating with you.  The students and the instructors must implement many strategies to be successful online including time management, discipline, computer competency skills, and having good writing skills, just to name a few.  

In this module I learned about the Netiquette, the pattern of communication that is needed including the consequences if not followed.    The importance of promoting civility and respect between instructor and student was also discussed. This is all essential to establish in an online environment.

In this module I learned about the different methods of communication using technology.  It is important that the method or methods that are chosen are effective for the student and the instructor.  The feedback from the students assist in making changes or adjustments as needed to improve the communication method.  The  different variety of methods was analyzed including the pros and cons of each.   

In this module I learned about the different methods and the importance of evaluation tools for your course.  You cannot depend only on student evaluations, all of the other methods must be implemented.

I learned in this module the importance of feedback and the difference between summative an formative.  The feedback for students must be done in a timely matter.  A rubric is very instrumental in making the feedback clear and concise   

In this module I learned the importance of the Syllabus being dynamic as well as interactive and it must be adapted to meet the course objectives and the needs of the students. The importance of effective communication and the different methods was also discussed in an online platform.   

In this module the key was understanding consistency in creating the course module and constantly testing it fo it's effectiveness.  The learning objects are also important to incoporate into the course module to assist the students in meeting the course objectives and increase thier knowledge. 

In this module the method of organizing an online class was explained with different factors to consider.  Some of those factors are to understand the F2F method is not the same as developing an online course, you have to facilitate the students transition into this format of learning.  The instructor needs to organize the course from the beginning including getting feedback from the students to keep them engaged all the way to the end.  Consistency is the key to success for the instructor and the student. 

In this section the feedback and interaction of the students was analyzed.  It is important to take this feedback into consideration to facilitate the learning environment whether it is synchronous or asynchronous.
