Yes Bernie, one should talk to those who would understand and not use it against one.The instructor who spends a lot of time complaining about students should find ways to reduce the stressors and counsel students on time management. He can obtain much relief by addressing the problem in a general e-mail. Austin

To cope with stressors, sharing information and discussing with trusted friends and family members will actually help. When I am stressed, especially, after a week’s hard work, I create a me-time and try to go movie, visit friends or visit a favorite place of interest in order to unwind. This strategy has helped tremendously. Another helpful strategy is to listen to good music and inspirational speeches. Austin

Stressors are really detrimental to sustained productivity. Some of the common factors that stress out faculty may include too much standards, that is, too many policies, changing policies, unrealistic deadlines, lack of freehand, excessive scrutiny, biased assessment and inability to appreciate faculty contribution. Other stressors may include students not showing up for discussion and expecting to make maximum points for concepts they do not fully understand.
Using grading rubric is an excellent way of making consistent and faster grading of student papers. However, the highlighting or underlining of salient points may even make it easier. The problem with this approach is that it may be inconsistent with APA formatting for schools that require adherence to APA writing
