Ying, You are so right. Admissions really needs to know a little bit about all parts of the schools offerings because you are the first person to assist the student and will most likely be asked the tough questions. The more you know, the better you are able to help the students and know exactly where to direct them. Donna Guisado

Ying, Sounds like your organization is on top of helping the student succeed. So important, and great that you are aware of it! Donna Guisado
Ying, If we always keep the student center of what we do, then the standards and guidelines will make perfect sense. They do protect the student, but they protect the school as well, if the school follows these diligently. Great that you are on board! Donna Guisado
Ying, It's a great way to keep up. There are many websites that you can also subscribe to notifications that they will send directly to your email when changes are made. BPPE provides this, as do many of the accrediting commissions. Donna Guisado
Aparna, I think that you are definitely on the right track to increasing that 7 rating! To take the Act to heart like it sounds like you are doing will definitely make a difference. I would also encourage you to read the standards that apply to your institution through your accrediting agency. Especially those standards which apply to admissions and marketing, of course. I can tell that you take your job seriously and also take the regulations seriously. That's a very good thing! Donna Guisado
Kimberly, You are absolutely doing all the right things to continue your professional development. It is so important to continue to be updated and informed on all the regulatory changes our sector has, and continues, to encounter. I would also suggest reviewing the BPPE website and CAPPS, as well as your institutional accreditor. They often provide updates and the ability for you to sign up for ongoing notifications you can receive through your email. Donna Guisado
Kimberly, Excellent feedback about your organization Kimberly. You're right much of this goes above and that is just great! Donna Guisado

Lore, The reason we want to be cautious about the salary information is because we cannot provide any guarantee or give the prospective student any "promise" about the possibility of salary. Giving the statistics you are giving, or referring the student to that website, is your best practice. Donna Guisado

Sarah, Yes, there are a number of reasons why providing the student with a guarantee is just not a good idea. There are a number of reasons that can make that date change over time. Donna Guisado

johnny, I'm curious if you actually offer housing or if you offer housing "assistance". There is a difference, and many agencies are particular about how that is presented to prospective students. It is important however, to have those types of assisting services in place. It's just important that it is clearly explained to the student. Donna Guisado
