Teressa, a superlative can be true. For instance "Our MA program has the best completion and job placement rate in the school" The use of the superlative needs to be supported by the graduation and job placement facts for MA and compared to other programs for the superlative to be accurate. A superlative can be a truthful statement. The damage of a superlative takes place when the student has specific daily class times and was mislead by the superlative above. James Faulkner
Discussion Comment
Maya, I agree. There are even opportunities to use superlatives that support the documented facts. What is missing when a superlative is used is the objective facts that allow a student to make a judgement based on their own values. James Faulkner

Marie, and yet a student is able to understand that misrepresentation can occur. They see the attempt to straighten it out in an open, transsparent manner and will respect the decision to do so. James Faulkner

Jill, our standards do not allow us to purposely mislead a student. When a case of misrepresentation occurs it is our job to fix it. If you see a substantial misrepresentation you need to report it. That can include calling me at the home office - 913 745 2182. James Faulkner Concorde Compliance Manager

Dr. Delfina, superlatives do make us sound like used car salesmen. Our customers are getting ready to pay a lot of money for our product. We owe them the exact disclosures, not generalizations. James Faulkner
Discussion Comment
Denise,Concorde has a remarkable system in place that consists of training and development as well as monitoring to ensure fraud or other forms of unethical conduct are identified and dealt with. Concorde has a solid reputation and we work hard to keep it. All of us should be proud of the corporation and schools we work in. James Faulkner
