It is so important to make a connection to the students personality traits. They need to feel like valued members of the learning community.

It is incredibly interesting to think about the different characteristics we have of each of the different colors. I also like to delve deeper and think about how this relates to my teaching style and communication with students. As an adjunct professor and peer collaborative middle school teacher, I feel like I am always thinking about building relationships, but this is an interesting new context or lens.

It is interesting to asses which personality traits I possess as well as those of my students and how we will interact in the most effective manner to take full advantage of our virtual setting.

It was interesting to consider the different personalities encountered in a learning environment. This is something that actively effects my everyday in person instruction and my online instruction as well.

I have always been a firm believer in backwards design, authentic assessments, and more feedback than instruction. I will remember to alwasy assess in an authentic manner.

Project based learning is something I am incredibly familiar with. At the middle school where I am a Peer Collaborative teacher, I utilize arts integration and project based learning frequently for maximum engagement. I will bring this into my higher education virtual teaching as well.

I have learned how essential it is to design dynamic and technology rich learning environments. If it is linear students may not be as engaged or get as much out of it as they would a more dynamic model. I will definitely be thinking about this in any future course development.

Dynamic learning is much prefered to linear, as it allows for more learners to grasp the information, better retention, and higher engagement.

Consistency is key in regard to course content layout!

I love the idea of being the guide on this side. The best teachers are facilitators, not instructors. We facilitate meaningful learning experiences for the most positive effect on our students.
