Continually develop your online course during the term. Do a summative evaluation at the end. Keep traack of your changes. Ask for imput from several sources.

Instructor feeback on communication on a regular basis is mandatory. Students need the instructors guidance and direction. Check our on line course on a regular bases. 

Plan ahead. Implement the plan and evaluate as the course progress. Keep the good parts ditch the bad. Doing course copy over saves a tremdous amoung of time.

Workload management requires one to stay on task. Don't let email etc interfer with your scheduled work. Let the LMS do as much work for you automatically. Keep refining your course aftewr each term.

Time management as a resource is vital. We all have many things affecting our lives. Interruptions happen. Plan ahead. apply the 7 principles. We all learn at a different pace.

Understanding the various types of technologies that are availble for online learning. Being able to utilize some of them are essential for all parties involved. Understanding which tools work best with asynchronous and synchronous learning. 

Commumication by the entire community is importaqnt. Be clear and professional in your communication. Have students work in teams when possible. I will desgin the course that requires communication from everyone. Have the students give online presentations. 

Instructors and students need to understand that online learning requires as much if not more time than F2F instruction. Time management and an understanding of our strengths and weaknesses are essential. An appropriate work space is critical. As an instructor, I need to design the course to keep the students on tack. Have assignments due at regualer intervals. Make certain all directions are clear.

 

What is the difference between referring back to points colleagues made earlier, and build on those points and encouraging people to restate the reasons behind their opinions if other team members express confusion or fustration?
